HRC: the largest rugby club in The Netherlands

Are you a rugby lover and looking for a place where you can rugby? De Haagsche Rugby Club (HRC) is the place for you. It is the largest and one of the oldest rugby clubs in the Netherlands. The first team and the youth participate in the top of Dutch rugby. The club was founded in 1932 and currently has more than 700 members.

A club for talents

In the 1970s and 1980s, HRC won national titles. And in the '99 season, the club earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records by taking all the titles possible in that season. The Hague Rugby Club has also been doing well internationally for some time now. HRC has already won the European Cup five times and the HRC men became Dutch Champions in the 2013 season. Talent development characterizes this club, which contributes to future performance.

Rugby for everyone

From the age of 4, every child is welcome to play rugby at HRC. The club consists of men's, women's and youth teams. The men's teams play in the highest division of the Dutch rugby competition. Women's rugby is definitely on the rise. Furthermore, HRC has a large youth department in all youth categories and several teams. In addition, HRC has a large senior department for women and men, where rugby is played at different levels with staff appropriate for each level.

The clubhouse was built by the members themselves in the 1960s, but it became too small due to many new members of the club, hence a major renovation. The clubhouse represents the beating heart of club life, with a spacious terrace that offers a view over the first field.

The HRC Rugby Club complex is located on Theo Mann-Bouwmeesterlaan in The Hague. Haagsche Rugby Club is easily accessible by various means of transport. HRC is easily accessible by car and there is ample parking in front of the door. Also, The Haagsche Rugby Club can be reached by public transport.
